How do I find you?

Do I need to book?
No, there's no need to book, just turn up on the day with your entry money and we'll find you a space.
What time can I start?
All the gates open at 6am except for Thursdays at Ardleigh (6:30) and Clacton Factory Outlet (7:00). That's for buyers and sellers - so be ready to sell! Sellers are often still arriving after 9 right up till 11.
Are there toilets on site?
Yes, there are facilities at all of our sites.
Is there food?
Yes we have inspected and licensed caterers at all of our sites.
Is there anything I can't sell?
Not really. Anything second hand is fine. Only the licensed caterers are permitted to sell food and drink for consumption on the site. Sellers of counterfeit goods or anything illegal will be reported. Certain brand new goods sold on a “trader” basis are not permitted at Clacton Factory Outlet; see the list on the relevant page of this website.
What do I need?
It can help to have a table, a tarpaulin or old blanket to lay on the ground and a 'float' of cash. It's a good idea to pack the table last then it comes out first! Have an idea what you're going to charge for each item because the moment you open the boot you'll start selling!
Who do I pay and when?
Please have your money ready to pay on entry at all sites.
What time does it finish?
About 1 o'clock, depending on the weather, but you may leave at any time.
Can I choose my pitch?
Pitches are available on a first come first served basis, please follow the directions of our friendly staff.
What happens if we get a shower?
Most of the time in the East of England it isn't raining! If however we get a shower when we are about to start, you can still go onto the site. If you start selling, that’s one thing, but if you have not set up to sell and you decide to come another day then see the ladies on the till and you can come another day for free... but most of the time it doesn't rain...
